Texas MedClinic to open new clinic in The Shops at Dove Creek in late December

San Antonio urgent care pioneer Texas MedClinic continues its growth in San Antonio, serving the fast-growing far west side with the opening of its Dove Creek location in late-December. Located at Loop 1604 and Potranco, Texas MedClinic’s Dove Creek location will be open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. everyday. The new urgent care center will be Texas MedClinic’s 14th clinic in San Antonio and 20th clinic in the region.
“Our goal and promise to the San Antonio community has always been to provide compassionate, quality medical care at an affordable price with convenient locations—so it’s easy to get the care you need in life’s little emergencies, especially after hours when doctor’s offices are closed,” said Texas MedClinic Founder Dr. Bernard Swift, Jr. “The opening of Dove Creek solidifies that goal; as population growth in the area continues to climb, we want to be where San Antonians need us most.”
Convenient locations and extended hours were paramount in serving the San Antonio community during the peaks of the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2020, Texas MedClinic was the first in the region to offer a COVID-19 rapid antigen test that provided results in 15 minutes. Since the onset of the pandemic, over 400,000 rapid antigen tests have been administered across its 19 clinic locations.
“As a frontline health care provider, we plan and prepare for worst-case scenarios,” said Swift. “Doing so, gives us the opportunity to serve our community in the ways they need. Our doctors, providers and staff have performed at the highest levels during the pandemic, working non-stop to assure San Antonians had a resource for COVID-19 testing and care.”
